Good stuff Vince. Many need to check themselves to be sure they are in line with what God requires of us

I couldn't agree more.

God doesn't want a superficial relationship with us. He doesn't want to be praised in public while you go on willfully sinning in private. He doesn't want you twisting Scripture to justify the way you live, like the Pharisees did.

He wants your heart. Your soul. Your mind. And your strength to all be fixed on Him continually.

Believing in Him without obeying Him makes us no better than Satan himself.

Dear brother thank you for sharing this article. It raises an important topic about people who call themselves Christians but do not live according to the teachings of Christ. Sadly this is something the Bible itself warns about. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. This shows that true Christianity is not only about the name we carry but about the life we live in obedience to God. The Bible also teaches that there will always be people who appear religious but their hearts are far from God. In Matthew 15:8 Jesus said These people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me. Many people may claim the Christian title yet their actions do not reflect the love humility and holiness that Christ taught. At the same time we must remember that no believer is perfect and all of us need God’s grace every day. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The difference is that a true believer repents and sincerely desires to follow Christ. The apostle Paul also warned about people who only have an outward form of religion. 2 Timothy 3:5 says Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Such people may appear religious but their lives do not show the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. True Christianity is not just about religion or denomination but about a real relationship with Jesus Christ and living according to His Word. John 13:35 says By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another. So this message should remind all of us to examine our own hearts and walk sincerely with God. As 2 Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. May God help all of us to live not only as Christians by name but as true followers of Jesus in our thoughts words and actions. God bless you brother.
